Practitioners in intersemiotic translation across Europe and beyond are invited to participate in this SIG as an online forum for identifying partners and fostering creative collaborative initiatives, discussion and exchange of best practice. In the first instance this entails providing short details of current and past creative translation projects and links to their websites and resources. We are keen to hear from translators and artists acting alone or in collaboration with groups and communities of practice involved in translation across cultures and across media. Projects of interest would include, but are not limited to, collaborative translation in the broader sense of the word, whether within a medium or from one medium to another, of short stories, prose passages or poems, that attempt to engage with society through situated frames and contexts. Intermedial translation projects initiated from non-verbal media are also of interest, provided they attempt to cross cultural, as well as medial, boundaries. If you are involved in creative translation projects and would like to feature your work on this website, please email m.campbell@hw.ac.uk in the first instance.
